Engineered for Extra Long Life
The patented magnetic material used in both the track and shield structures of LLH magnetic heads is a laminated stack of Hy Mu 800 magnetic material bonded together with a ceramic. The ceramic provides a long wearing surface for the tape to ride on and the Hy Mu 800 provides a high quality magnetic path for the magnetic flux to follow during either the recording or playback function.
Engineered for Superior Performance
The unique magnetic material used in LLH heads provides excellent gap integrity throughout their lifetime without the crystal pullout commonly experienced in hot pressed ferrite heads. As a result, LLH tape duplicator heads maintain consistent high frequency reproduction levels to provide premium quality sound longer than any commercially available head. In addition, LLH Otari DP-4050 heads have an adjustable mounting base which allows precision azimuth adjustment. This feature allows the best possible recording characteristics to be easily maintained throughout the life of the head.
Engineered for Maximum Cost Savings
LLH heads are constructed with two parts - the back coil assembly and the front face. This revolutionary design feature allows for lower cost head maintenance. When the front surface has worn to the point that it can no longer be relapped/repolished, it can be replaced for a fraction of the original head price rather than having to throw the entire head away. Conversely, in the rare event that a coil should develop problems, the back section can also be replaced.
